Oil and Gas Industry

Inspection of equipment relative to oil and gas drilling, refining, and processing.

process srl has considerable experience in the inspection of Rotary Equipment, such as Gas Turbines, Pumps, Compressors and Blowers as well as Electrical Equipment and instrumentation.

Attention is always made to special requirements for the material selection such as NACE MR0175, low temperature testing requirement and special requirements in relation to balancing and vibration limits of rotary equipment, also area classification requirements and certification for electrical equipment and instrumentation.

When required, process srl also carry out review and vetting of rotary equipment, Performance and Running test Procedures, Inspection and Test Plans and other Quality and Inspection documents for single equipment or for package units.

Power Generation

process srl has notable and long standing experience in the inspection of Equipment for Steam and Gas Power Plants and Electrical Power Transmission Equipment.

In the past few years, process srl has undertaken the inspection of some of the plants built in the Middle East including a Steam Power Generation Plant of 11 Units x 375 MW each which lasted for several years. The equipment are related to the Turbine Island as well as BOP items. For such projects, the activities were extended to participate in the Monthly Management Meetings with analysis to the quality issues and highlights to the potential delays in equipment delivery due to such issues, as well and providing a complete picture to the supplier’s performance for each single purchase order within the project.

Recently, process srl is involved in the inspection and site supervision of renewable energy power plants.

Pharmaceutical Industry

process srl has been involved in the inspection of Equipment for Pharmaceutical Industry since the times of Imperial Chemical Industry (ICI) Macclesfield UK and ICI Engineering. The attention to details, use of special materials such as Hastelloy, polishing grade, hygienic requirements, preservation and protection during transit are issues we have been trained for and dealt with during inspection activities. Also particular attention is given to final documentation according to the code of Good Documents Practice. The equipment are related to special bottling lines, Nasonex Line, sterilized filling lines and many others.

Due to the nature of these production lines and the technology involved, process srl underwrites Confidentiality agreements with both Customers and Suppliers which continue to be in force and effective for several years after the termination of our activities.

Infrastructure

The modern technology together with the requirements of high quality and safety standards now needed for public transport terminal facilities have contributed in selecting process srl  for the Third Party Inspection and fabrication follow-up of the main equipment supplied relative to an International airport located in South America.

The activities included inspection during fabrication and witness FAT on assemblies and sub-assemblies of Baggage Handling System (BHS), Passengers Boarding Bridges (PBB), Power Units, Walkways, Escalators and Elevators, Control Systems, Security Facilities and Air Handling and Conditioning Systems. The fabrication and inspection took place in Europe, China, USA and Japan. The team of engineers and inspectors covering the work was carefully selected to look after such particular type of equipment.

process srl conducts vendor assessment and audit to identify, review and analyse potential manufacturers and suppliers. Our assessment is not only limited to those manufacturers who are currently supplying products of the same category, but also manufacturers with potential capabilities to meet the technical requirements.
Frequently, suppliers introduce changes and modifications to the buyer’s specifications and drawings with regard to, for example, material grade, rated power or dimensions. In certain cases, these are not timely brought to buyer’s attention.

process srl experienced engineers and auditors shall provide the buyer with independent engineering evaluation to the technical problems arising before and during fabrication.
